Born in China and shaped by a decade of life and study across North America, Phoenix now resides in Calgary, where her practice moves fluidly between memory, emotion, and place. Her work emerges from quiet observation—of the shifting relationships between herself, her surroundings, and the people who inhabit them. She seeks to create works that invite engagement and connection, allowing viewers not only to look, but to feel and respond.
Phoenix graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2026 with a degree in Visual Communication Design. After working as a designer for several years, she began to reconsider the intersections and boundaries between design and fine art—exploring how they meet, overlap, and continually transform one another.
This space allows her to explore both art and the inner self, tracing how emotion and experience shape creative expression.
