Public Design
Dreaming Asleep Dreaming Awake is a publication created for The New Gallery’s 50th Anniversary. The project was a collaboration with eight local artists and was supported by Calgary Arts Development, the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. A total of 300 copies were published and presented at the gallery’s 50th-anniversary exhibition opening.
The publication’s visual identity is inspired by the fluid transition between dreaming and wakefulness. A custom display typeface, soft pastel palette, blurred organic forms, and delicate star motifs create a gentle, dreamlike atmosphere throughout the publication.
